AEM DRYFLOW Air Filters

Proudly Made in the USA
AEM DRYFLOW Air Filters do not use oil
AEM DRYFLOW Air Filters Do NOT Use Filter Oil

Oil-Free Filtration
AEM DRYFLOW air filters do not use oil so there is no chance of over-oiling your filter which takes the guesswork out of servicing.

Easy to Clean
The DRYFLOW filter uses environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner.  Simple cleaning instructions.  Under extremely dusty/dirty conditions, DRYFLOW filters can be knocked a few times to remove excess dirt off of the filter pleats. DRYFLOW filter media is so durable that it can withstand almost unlimited cleanings and also resists water absorption.

Warranty-Safe Filtration
DRYFLOW air filters will not void your warranty.

Sheds Dirt Under Vibration
AEM’s unique non-woven filter media does not require oil to filter and trap dirt and contaminants, and as a result an open air filter actually sheds dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze which holds on to contaminants until you clean the filter.

AEM Round Air Filters
AEM round filters are used in many custom air filter assemblies and racing applications where the size of the filter needed is known.  Select a round filter below for a full list of specifications.  To find OEM replacement filters use the AEM application search.

Durable AEM Universal Clamp-on Air Filters
DRYFLOW filters are constructed to last!  Not that you would ever do this to your filter, but with a DRYFLOW conical filter you could...

DRYFLOW filter media bounces back to original shape
DRYFLOW filter media bounces back to original shape

This demonstrates just how tough the DRYFLOW media really is. There is no risk of filter damage during shipping, installation or cleaning. These DRYFLOW filters will retain their shape and performance even after the most severe abuse. That is why winning race teams continue to choose the AEM DRYFLOW air filter.
AEM DryFlow Filters are strong from the inside out

Strength from the Inside Out*
We reinforce round DRYFLOW filter elements with a lightweight mineral-reinforced plastic cage that maintains the element’s structural integrity and eliminates the chance of the filter collapsing from flow demands, while also reducing the filter’s overall weight.

* Note: DRYFLOW Panel Filters are supported by co-pleated aluminum wire mesh.

Air Flow Capabilities

Every DRYFLOW air filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of the engine it is required for when clean.  For example, a typical naturally aspirated 2.0L engine requires 253 CFM of flow. The filter we manufacture for a 2.0L Acura RSX Type-S (21-204DK) delivers up to 565 CFM of flow when clean. You get great flow with DRYFLOW, in addition to outstanding filtration and excellent dust holding capacity.

AEM DryFlow Filter Flow Data

Diesel engines require massive air flow. AEM has responded with a filter that dramatically exceeds that requirement without compromising filtering efficiency. For example, the AEM BFS-HD (PN 21-9221D) for the 2007 Dodge 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel exceeds the stock induction air flow by 84% when clean.

AEM Brute Force HD Intake Flow Data

Plenty of Flow for Gas and Diesel!
AEM’s DRYFLOW Synthetic filter flows almost as well when it is dirty as it does when it is clean, and typically flows over twice as much air than is required for large displacement engines in vehicle applications covered by BRUTE FORCE intakes.

Many of our competitors emphasize flow as a primary means of power production in air intakes. While flow is certainly an important part of the equation, we find that tuning the inlet to work with the harmonics of the engine produces the best power gains. We address flow in the sense that the engine requires a given amount of flow, so we calculate our filter size to exceed this flow requirement by a wide margin to accommodate potential future engine modifications. This allows us to retain a high level of filtration efficiency and still exceed the flow requirements of an engine. Our filters will trap more dirt, and consequently extend the life of the rings and seals in your engine.

By designing our DRYFLOW filters to exceed the flow requirements for the size of the engine that we designed the intake for, it allows us to do two things. The first is that it allows you to add modifications that increase flow demand without exceeding the flow capabilities of the filter. Second, it extends the filter’s service cycle (you don’t have to clean it as often) because it can trap more dirt without sacrificing flow. Rest assured that we have taken flow into account for all of our intake designs and our DRYFLOW filters will deliver more than adequate flow for your vehicle.

** All flow testing was conducted by AEM on a Superflow 1060 Super Bench flow bench. Results are single filter comparisons and will vary for other part numbers.
