At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Vauxhall previewed the Zafira Tourer concept car and this year it became a production reality when cars arrived at UK showrooms. The Zafira like the Chevy Cruze is built on GM's global compact platform which it shares with Opel and the Chevy Volt and the new Chevy Orlando. Development of this platform was an indisputable global effort, as work was conducted around the clock beginning in 2006 in South Korea, Germany and the United States. Chevrolet promoted the Cruze as offering near mid-size space in a compact package with a compact price. It has been on sale in more than 60 countries after launching in South Korea and China in late 2008, and it went on sale in North America in 2009. Select 2009-2015 model versions of this global compact car platform can now increase performance by simply replacing the factory installed air filter with AEM's 28-20964 reusable Dryflow® air filter.
