Ford's 2012 Focus is an exciting and agile car to drive that doesn't come with a huge price tag. The Ford Focus with a 2.0 liter engine delivers approximately 140 horsepower so it is easy to see that this car combines quickness with affordability. AEM decided to make a good thing even better by engineering a stylish air intake that gives drivers of the 2012 Ford Focus 2.0L an estimated 4 horsepower increase at 5200 RPM at the front wheels. AEM cold air intake number 21-702P comes with a vacuum metalized (chrome-like) tube and a Dryflow^® oil free air filter. AEM cold air intake number 21-702C is the same as AEM 21-702P except it has a gunmetal gray powder coated tube finish.

The 2012 Ford Focus uses a 2.0L Ti-VCT GDI I-4 engine. These AEM air intake systems feature a three piece tube designed that seamlessly integrates into the Ford Focus engine bay. It begins with a 2.75" diameter upper pipe with connection nipples for both existing PCV hoses. This pipe connects to the OEM MAF sensor. A MAF sensor extension harness is included for connecting the MAF sensor to the engine wiring harness. The center tube section uses a 2.5" diameter pipe that runs down through the radiator support and connects to the third piece of the tube, a 90 degree elbow. The three intake tubes are connected using high quality couplers that flex with engine vibration in order to prevent cracking by reducing stress on the mounting points. This unique design places the Dryflow air filter behind the front bumper so the 21-702C and 21-702P air intake systems can draw cooler air into the engine.

AEM's highly durable vacuum metalized finish, as seen on part 21-702P, helps to ensure a brilliant shine for a very long time and is easily cleaned and will not turn yellow when exposed to heat. AEM's gunmetal gray powder coated finish, as seen on part 21-702C, is also a very resilient finish that resists scratching and oxidation.

2012 Ford Focus air intake systems 21-702C and 21-702P feature an AEM Dryflow air filter which is constructed using a high flow synthetic material that is surrounded by an aluminum wire screen mesh.
