AEM Brute Force Air Intakes – The Biggest and Toughest Intakes AEM Manufactures

AEM Brute Force Air Intakes are designed to improve performance
AEM Brute Force Air Intakes are designed to improve performance and be just as durable and long-lasting as the modern gasoline and diesel pickup trucks or SUV’s they’re intended for

AEM has been an industry leader in the development of air intake systems for over twenty years. AEM began selling its first packaged cold air intake system for the Honda Civic CRX in 1994 and built quite a reputation within the sport compact and tuner community. With the growing popularity of full size trucks and SUV’s, especially those with turbo diesel engines, AEM engineers saw an opportunity to branch off into this segment and fill a void being left by other air intake system manufacturers.

As a company that prides itself on its engineering talent, AEM Induction Systems recognized that modern pickup trucks and full-size SUVs are designed to endure higher payloads, take more abuse, and tow more than ever before. Certainly an air intake system designed to increase the performance of these same pickup trucks or SUV’s should be equally durable and last just as long. Because of this fact, AEM Induction Systems created the AEM Brute Force Air Intakes line of cold air intake systems.

Power and toughness is what can be expected in every box containing AEM Brute Force Air Intakes. To help prevent broken brackets AEM incorporates larger 3/16” brackets on most intake systems with reinforced attachment points. In some instances hefty dog bone brackets are used to absorb serious vibrations and the stress of high-torque engines. To accommodate the airflow demands and filtration needs of large gasoline and diesel engines AEM uses oversized air filters coupled to large diameter air intake tubes and massive heat shields on many AEM Brute Force Air Intakes. For some AEM Brute Force Air Intakes a rotationally molded air intake tube and/or air box is used to route incoming air in more creative ways.

The finishes used on AEM Brute Force Air Intakes are designed to meet rigorous standards and hold up to harsh conditions found under the hood. When necessary, high-quality flex couplers are used and are intended to prevent cracking and reduce stress on mounting points. Additionally, AEM will use stainless steel double wound clamps and 4-ply silicone hoses to help ensure strength and long life. Even the smallest of components must adhere to AEM’s tough quality standards, because a weak spot in any component is more than AEM is willing to accept.

The toughest air intake system in the world would be worthless if it didn’t also increase horsepower and torque in usable RPM ranges. AEM Brute Force Air Intakes are designed to deliver real power that can be felt and to obtain these power gains in RPM ranges that will actually be used while driving, rather than rarely used ridiculously high RPMs. AEM engineers design Brute Force Air Intakes as a fully integrated component of the vehicle. Significant testing is performed to assure proper airflow management with the goal of keeping inlet air temperature (IAT) at or near ambient air temperature. To accomplish this goal AEM will design Brute Force Air Intakes so that they draw air from a safe and cool location.
