The 2013 and 2014 Dodge Dart is the auto manufacturer’s first compact car since the Dodge Neon was discontinued back in 2005. The new generation Dodge Dart is based on a Fiat platform that has been widened and given a longer wheelbase. Further Fiat technology was imported by the Chrysler Group to power the new Dodge Dart. The Dart’s available 1.4-liter Multiair turbocharged engine can also be found in the Fiat 500 Abarth. However, the Dodge Dart 1.4L turbo engine has been tuned to make more power than its Italian cousin.

The 1.4L Multiair turbo engine found in the 2013 and 2014 Dodge Dart is rated at 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque from the factory. While down on power when compared to other turbo compacts, like the Ford Fiesta ST or Hyundai Veloster Turbo, the Dodge Dart 1.4L turbo does beat them both in EPA rated highway MPG. Here to lessen the performance gap between the 2013 to 2014 Dodge Dart 1.4L turbo and comparable turbo compacts is AEM cold air intake 21-722C and 21-722P.

At AEM Induction Systems our engineers design our intake systems as a fully integrated component of the vehicle. Improved airflow is only part of the power equation. The 21-722C and 21-722P cold air intake systems relocate the air filter behind the front bumper to provide a cool dense source of air before being forced into the engine by the turbocharger. Cold Air Intake 21-722C and 21-722P come equipped with a non-oiled AEM Dryflow air filter, number 21-203DK, which delivers high airflow while providing excellent filtration and engine protection. The mandrel bent aluminum cold air intake tube is offered in two durable finishes to satisfy personal preference. 21-722C features a charcoal gray powdercoat finish, and 21-722P offers a bright, mirror-like finish.

All of the design features of the 21-722C and 21-722P cold air intake systems are tuned to improve horsepower and torque delivery in the lower, and most used, RPM range. On the dyno, 21-722C and 21-722P produced an estimated additional 6 horsepower at 3000 rpm and an equally important 9 pound-feet of torque at 3000 rpm over the factory system. In addition to increasing horsepower, lowering restriction and increasing airflow will reduce turbo lag and help the Dodge Dart’s turbo to spool up quicker. This in turn improves acceleration and drivability.

The 21-722C and 21-722P AEM cold air intake system is an excellent performance upgrade for your 2013 and 2014 Dodge Dart models with the Multiair 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder, intercooled and turbocharged engine. This is a complete Dodge Dart cold air intake system including all the necessary hardware and step by step installation instructions. To provide peace of mind, AEM Induction Systems stands behind its products with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
