AEM Induction Systems is one such company dedicated to technological innovation in the design and engineering of performance air filter and air intake products. AEM will be attending the SEMA show at booth number 23053 showcasing newly released cold air, short ram and electronically tuned intake systems for popular years, makes and models. Best of all AEM is scheduled to unveil a custom built 2013 Scion FR-S in the booth. "We are going to show the FR-S and the complete product package AEM is designing for this vehicle." reported AEM Brand Manager George Hsieh. "The FR-S will include the high performance Electronically Tuned Intake (ETI), AEM exhaust and AEM strut bar." Mr. Hsieh went on to mention that the FR-S would also include a selection of performance parts from other aftermarket manufacturers.

"The main thing to remember when it comes to intakes is that heat is the enemy. AEM's focus is above and beyond engineering and the design of the ETI system on the FR-S incorporates that idea with a custom air box that uses a large fresh air duct and places the filter and sensor components inside, away from the hottest parts of the engine. By creating a better cold air effect you can boost overall engine performance." Other AEM ETI systems on display at the booth will include special features, like the design for the 2006-2010 Mini Cooper S which actually converts the decorative hood scoop into a functioning ram air scoop for the intake. AEM will also be displaying performance air filters for multiple vehicles from their new OE replacement line.

When asked about AEM's presence at the 2012 SEMA show, Hsieh stated that AEM is concentrating on building the brand and the AEM "family" by building better connections with dealers and customers. "We want to show everyone that AEM is a value added brand as well as our capabilities as an engineering company and the breadth of what we can accomplish using new technology and social media marketing tactics." Needless to say, booth 23053 is definitely a stop to make this year at the SEMA show.

AEM will be showing their new products and the Scion FR-S at booth 23053 in the racing and performance central hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. So save the dates and make your way to the SEMA Show October 30th through November 2nd to see all that AEM has to offer for you.
