AEM's application specific air intakes are high quality air induction systems that are made from extremely durable materials. Many of these intakes feature reinforced attachment points, heavy-gage steel heat shields, heavy-duty dog-bone brackets, high-quality couplers, stainless steel double-wound clamps that wrap around 4-ply silicone hoses and of course, highly durable Dryflow® air filters.

AEM's Dryflow air filter technology utilizes a synthetic media that requires no oil. This filter media provides incredible air flow, low restriction and exceptional capacity while providing outstanding engine protection. Additionally, AEM's Dryflow media is encompassed by an aluminum screen wire that aides in smoothing and straightening the air as it enters the intake tube.

Since these incredibly tough air filters require no oil, they can be cleaned very quickly. All it takes to clean these filters is AEM's 1-1000 synthetic air filter cleaner to loosen the dirt, and water. Service intervals for AEM's intake system air filters are up to 100,000 miles depending on driving conditions. For more information on the cleaning process please refer to the easy to follow cleaning instructions.

For owners concerned with water splashing onto the filter or owners that are consistently driving in extremely dusty conditions we recommend using an AEM pre-filter wrap. Part 1-4001 will fit all AEM Dodge Ram 1500 air intakes except 21-8222DC or 21-8222DP. The 21-8222DC and 21-8222DP air intakes should be used with the 1-4004 air filter wrap.

AEM Dryflow pre-filters are manufactured from a durable micro-screen material and pretreated with a proprietary hydrophobic process designed to prevent splashes of water or mud from saturating your Dryflow air filter.

These pre-filters are also perfect for use in harsh dusty environments. By filtering and keeping much of the dirt from the Dryflow air filter an AEM pre-filter wrap helps to extend the length of time between Dryflow air filter cleanings. AEM air filter wraps stop small dirt particles yet they add little restriction to the air flow of your filter.

2013-2014 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7-liter engine has the option of two different Brute Force Air Intake Systems, 21-8228DP or 21-8228DC that produce an approximate gain of 10 horsepower at 5100 RPM.

For 2009 to 2012 Dodge Ram 1500's with a 5.7L HEMI engine drivers can use intake system part 21-8222DC or 21-8222DP to increase their truck's performance. The difference between the two part numbers is the finish that is applied to the aluminum intake tube. 21-8222DC features an intake tube with the extremely durable gunmetal gray powder coat finish while 21-8222DP features an intake tube with the highly-resilient vacuum metalized (chrome-like) finish. Besides looking good, this intake can give drivers approximately 8 additional horsepower according to dyno tests.

For 2006 to 2008 Dodge Ram 1500's with a 5.7L HEMI engine drivers can choose to upgrade to 21-8212DC or 21-8212DP. Again the difference between the two part numbers is the finish that is applied to the aluminum intake tube. The letters at the end of the part numbers that distinguish between the two finishes are DC and DP. The DC stands for gun-metal grey and DP stands for polished.

For 2006 Dodge Ram 1500's with a 3.7L engine drivers have the option of upgrading their intake system to 21-8214DC or 21-8214DP. This system also comes in either the gunmetal gray or polished finish and utilizes a heavy duty bracket welded to the tube that secures the intake tube to its mounting location on the inner fender.

2003-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 models with a 5.7L HEMI engine use AEM 21-8203DC or 21-8203DP for better performance. These air intake systems feature a heavy duty bracket that provides support for the intake by securing the system to the heat shield. There is also a port on the side of the intake tube so that drivers can connect their truck's CCV line.

Owners of 2003 to 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 models with a 4.7-liter engine have an option to upgrade to intake system number 21-8205DC or 21-8205DP. Just like every AEM intake, this system comes with a washable and reusable Dryflow air filter that allow air to flow with little restriction for added power.

1994 to 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 models with either the 5.2L or 5.9L engine can use AEM's 21-8202DC or 21-8202DP to add power. These air intakes cover a number of years have a port welded onto the intake tube for drivers to connect their CCV line.

As with all of AEM's Brute Force intake systems for over-the-road applications, these intakes come with step-by-step installation instruction sheets and they are backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty.
