The Chevrolet Aveo shares some truly epic international DNA. The first generation subcompact was originally designed, engineered and marketed in 2002 by GM Daewoo, the South Korean subsidiary of General Motors, and has since been sold worldwide in 120 countries under five brands.
"When we designed it, we set out to produce an alternative to conventional lines and tread new paths in terms of design," said Giorgetto Giugiaro, explaining the philosophy behind his original design of the Daewoo Kalos from which all Aveo platform offspring, sprung.
