The AEM 21-730C fits some Hyundai Genesis Coupe models. See vehicle applications for details.
The AEM 21-730C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Hyundai Genesis Coupe models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is located in the original air box space and is protected by a heat shield with a replacement fresh air adapter scoop which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine’s factory emissions control devices including the air temperature sensor, engine breather tube and sound tube. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools and it is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Everything about this product was great as expected except for two items: 1) the heat shield would not close without hitting the hood which required me trimming down the top of the heat shield with a grinder about a centimeter. Hood closes normally now. 2) Kit was missing the spacer that goes under the heat shield where the ground strap attaches. Had to improvise with some washers I had laying around the shop that cumulatively were the same height as the spacer would have been. As others have said, you should install the rubber trim first, as it will be very difficult after the heat shield is in place. Overall, the car feels like it has more top end power, although not incredibly noticeable. Sound is minimally louder, although revving the engine aggressively does have more induction note. Full throttle at high RPM originally made an audible whooshing noise but that has since been diminished by my adding the silica prewrap mesh to the filter. Due to having a loud custom exhaust, overall volume was not changed, although the engine does rev up faster in neutral now. Exhaust pops and burbles sound different now as well. Using an OBDII data logging device, I have tracked lower intake temperatures over stock air box setup (Same night, same conditions, same test route driven the same way) . Overall it is worth it to get this intake

Very happy with the intake. Not really sure how much increase in HP I really gained, but the car does feel more responsive. Love the way it looks too. One suggestion is that during installation, put the rubber seal on the heat shield first. Makes it easier to get it on the tight spots in the front & back. Instructions have you bolting the shield on first.

This intake exceeded my expectations. The throttle response is much better and it sounds amazing. Looks good under the hood also. Easy install, although I had to trim the heat shield so my hood could close without hitting.
