The AEM 21-772C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Subaru Impreza models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is located in the original air box space and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The air intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine’s factory emissions control devices including the mass airflow sensor. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools and it is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Great product and easy install, made a big difference to the sound and performance. Paired it with a new Magnaflow muffler and a stage 1 performance chip from GTE.

The installation was nice and easy. I was surprised with the great sound and amazing difference it made in the torque and better acceleration response I could feel when driving my 2013 Subaru Impreza sedan.

I love this cold air intake, it sounds nice. There's more low-end Power and with the muffler deleted on my Subaru, it sounds really cool.. I definitely recommended, you only live once.

Can confirm that this fits a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek.

It’s an intake. It does what it says. I think the filter rubs a bit on the frame under the heat shield. Can’t really do anything about that.

Looks great installed. The installation was simple and easy, and I'm not a mechanic. I only have the standard Impreza with a non-turbo 2.0L, but the new growl it has when I get on it is pleasure. Pickup seems a bit better and gas milage is up slightly.
