When the folks who created the Scion tC first started, they knew they needed to bring something that was missing from the small car market: alternative style. Toyota already had a long history on how to design reliable and dependable cars in the real world so their engineers focused on the word simplify. It's something you can see in every one of Scion's cars. From the tC to the new FR-S, the engineers and designers at Scion found the right balance of dependability and performance in an affordable-to-own yet fun-to-drive package.
AEM Polished Cold Air Intake 21-725P for Scion tC
It was with this spirit in mind that we designed and engineered theAEM 21-725C and 21-725P Cold Air Intake systems for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Scion tC models with 2.5L engines. We knew that Scion enthusiasts wanted even more performance, better throttle response, and enhanced engine sound than the factory intake, but only if it came in a dependable, trouble-free design.
First, like all of our air intakes, the 21-725C and 21-725P systems feature a washable and reusable AEM Dryflow™ Synthetic Air Filter to increase air flow over the stock filter while providing outstanding protection for your engine. Next, our intake was designed to locate the filter low inside the fender well to introduce cooler, denser air to the engine. The intake tube with venturi was designed and flow bench tested to decrease restriction and provide a dyno-proven power increase over the stock intake. Dyno tests resulted in estimated power gains of 7.7HP @ 6200 RPM and good mid-range torque gains from 3000RPM to redline, with an estimated maximum gain of 6 ft-lbs @ 6200RPM.

We then put hundreds of miles of road under our tC test cars and reviewed several megabytes of engine data to ensure that our intake worked with the stock engine calibration. We used high quality aluminum to fabricate the intake tube and mounting brackets, which are then assembled together with high-strength welds and powder coated for a durable, show-ready shine. The 21-725C is finished in our AEM gunmetal gray powder coat and the 21-725P has a polished, chrome-like finish. Finally, our work is done here in the U.S.A. where we can keep an eye on quality. All of our products are covered by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Cleaning your air filter is very easy with our 1-1000 AEM Dryflow™ Air Filter Cleaner. This cleaner has been designed and tested on our Dryflow™ media and comes in an attractive AEM yellow 32-ounce spray bottle.
