AEM 21-8122DC Cold Air Intake with Gunmetal Gray finish for 2011- 2014 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L
The Ford Mustang is the first and still one of the hottest muscle cars to be reintroduced by Detroit. Ford developed an engine that makes an impressive 412 HP and coupled with lighter weight and an awesome suspension it is stiff competition for the Chevy Camaro or Dodge Challenger. The fact that the Mustang is more fuel efficient than the other models in its class makes it even more fun to drive. Ford did an impressive job on the intake system of the 5.0L engine and it was a challenge to coax more power from the free breathing intake. AEM was up to that challenge and has delivered an intake system that produces more power for your Mustang while maintaining an OEM quality look and feel.
The stock Ford intake system employs the use of a cold air duct that protrudes through the radiator core support which is an excellent source for cool air (compared to
under hood air). AEM’s 21-8122DC and 21-8122DP cold air intake systems are designed to take advantage of the good Ford design and enhance the air flow through a mandrel bent intake tube and a low restriction Dryflow filter. The system features a closed air box that seals out hot
under hood air to provide cooler outside fed air to the engine for more power. The intake air management also allows the engine ECU to maintain the ignition timing as the factory intended. The result is a gain of an estimated 8 horsepower at 5000 rpm, and 10 lbs./ft. at 3400 RPM when installed on a 2011, 2012, 2013 or 2014 Ford Mustang GT equipped with the 5.0L engine.

AEM 21-8122DC Cold Air Intake with polished chrome-like finish for 2011-2014 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L
AEM 21-8122DC
has a Gunmetal Gray tube finish and 21-8122DP
has a polished chrome-like tube finish. The AEM Dryflow air filter element
on these air intakes, part 21-2145DK, uses a washable synthetic media that allows it to be cleaned and reused when it gets dirty. This simple cleaning process reduces unnecessary waste which occurs when you continuously throw away and replace stock paper air filters. AEM Dryflow air filters are durable and reusable, do not require oiling, and are easy to clean.
Because the filter is in a sealed housing, an
AEM Filter Minder Gauge is also included. It mounts in the system airbox and lets you know when the air filter needs to be serviced. The intake interior sound tube is retained so the OEM driving experience is maintained.
Installation of the 21-8122DC and 21-8122DP is very simple. AEM’s Installation Instruction Sheet explains the steps necessary to install this power gaining air intake in your 5.0L, 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The 21-8122DC and 21-8122DP, cold air intake systems, are protected by AEM’s lifetime limited warranty. AEM warrants this air intake system will last for the entire life of your car.

Some vehicles are built for performance with precision engineering and dedication to producing
stand out results. The 2009, 2010 & 2011 Nissan 370Z Nizmo with 3.7 liter V6
engine is no exception. Even with a stock 303 horsepower at the wheels and 249 ft/lbs of torque, AEM engineers saw room for improvement on this high performance vehicle.
AEM Air Intake System 41-1002P
AEM has been a pioneer in the development of air intake systems for powerful import models, like the 370Z, since it was founded in 1987. Recently, AEM has developed a
series of intakes referred to as ETI or Electronically Tuned Intake systems. This new
twist on air intakes utilizes specially tuned circuitry that works with the
vehicle's electronics allowing large power gains. With traditional designs,
maintaining a large tube diameter near the MAF sensor without downsizing or
restricting airflow would, in many cases, cause issues with the vehicle's
electronics. With ETI technology the MAF sensor is not confused by the
air flow change and continues to supply the right signals to the computer
for proper fuel delivery. This allows air intake designs like AEM's 41-1002P and 41-1002C
to maintain the calibration intended by the factory while enjoying the benefits of a
low restriction air intake system.

"The new Nismo Nissan 370Z ETI AEM intake system is a true cold air intake," says AEM Co-founder John Concialdi. "It consists of two 2.75
inch diameter intake pipes that were developed for use on the standard edition Nissan 370Z.
However, there were some minor differences between the normal 370Z and the Nismo Edition. A front mount oil cooler made us redesign the location of our windshield washer reservoir. With the increased reported horsepower rating from the manufacturer we dyno'd the Nismo 370Z and realized there was more potential for power. So we created a new ETI calibration specially designed for the Nismo 370Z that helped us pick up an estimated 19.7 hp and 14.6 ft-lbs of torque
at 7100 RPM. The gains with the 41-1002 intake were much better than those seen on the standard Nissan 370Z."
Concialdi also commented on another feature that makes this AEM cold air intake
stand out, the fact that the 370Z NISMO front bumper does NOT need to be removed. This adds to the ease of installation and servicing for the 41-1002P and 41-1002C tuned intake and filter system.
The 41-1002P
intake has tubes with a polished aluminum finish and the
41-1002C
has tubes with a gun metal colored powder coated finish. Both come
with AEM Dryflow air filters, which require no oil, are very durable and are
easy to clean and reuse. Since the OEM windshield washer reservoir was in
the way, both parts also come with a redesigned windshield washer reservoir
that provides needed clearance. AEM's new ETI system for the 2009, 2010 & 2011 Nissan 370Z Nismo is a must have upgrade for drivers looking to improve power and performance.
